Double Point ECSA RACE!
Race Date: Saturday October 3, 2009. First Gun 10:00am in the vicinity of R34 Cow & Calf off Branford harbor.

This is a DOUBLE POINT ECSA race!

Entry close: Friday, October 2, 2009 by 7pm, Branford YC
The Captains CHECK IN is from 4pm to 7pm
Pick up Captain's bag, scratch sheet, SI, party tix, T's, etc.


The ECSA classes will have approximately a 50nm course. Courses will be defined in the Sailing Instructions and chosen by the Race Committee. Courses may contain R34, Faulkner Island, and Middle Ground.  A shorter distance course may be chosen depending on wind & weather. PHRF classes (spinnaker, non-spinnaker, double-handed spinnaker) to be determined by ratings and number of entries.  

PLUS, a short course of approximately 20nm or less will be offered for Non-ECSA, cruising only.  This Non-ECSA class does not require an ECSA certificate.

This race is open to boats 20 feet in length overall with a self-bailing cockpit, fixed berths, galley facilities and the ability to be self-supporting for a weekend cruise. A valid 2009 PHRF-ECSA rating certificate MUST accompany each entry.  The Race Committee recommends compliance with ORC Category 4 Regulations.

There will be trophies for 1st, 2nd & 3rd in each class. PLUS, top 3 individual fundraisers & top fundraising boat receive great prizes!

Awards party will be held on Sunday, October 4th, 1:00 pm at the Branford Yacht Club when results will be announced and trophies awarded.  Live music with Fast Lane, kid friendly activities, fabulous food & plenty of drink, mega raffle/silent auction, cool commemorative T-shirts and much more!
